Bryan Quinn’s new single, Solitary Refinement can be purchased directly from our online shop. Or you can download and stream it on all your favorite platforms.
With Solitatary Refinement, Bryan returns to the idea of solitude. But unlike the song of that name on Rejuvenescence, which was full of pain and sorrow, this time the solitary sensation was a situation made mandatory by the need to heal himself from trauma.Â
This song has been said to stir up images of a lone voice drifting through a canyon. It is rooted in country/folk and of course it features Native American-Style Flute alongside acoustic guitar.Â
Introspection has been described as:
- “appropriately moody”
- “well done”
- “an excellent song”
- “very relaxing”
- “almost melancholy “
- “a contemplative piece”
- “excellently written and wonderfully executed “
Praise For Sonoran Seduction:
"Bryan's newest single opens with a lovely acoustic guitar pattern, creating a quiet, reflective atmosphere. The Native flute enters with a gentle, almost melancholy melody, like a lone voice drifting through a canyon at dusk. The higher phrases bring a sense of rising emotion, while the simplicity of the guitar and flute leaves plenty of room for the music to breathe. One thing I especially appreciate is Bryan's growing use of breath control and expression. There's more shaping to his phrases, allowing the notes to rise, soften, and settle naturally.
It's a contemplative piece that paints a picture of wide-open desert landscapes, solitude, and the quiet beauty found in stillness. "

"Wild play on words...totally get it with the twist from confinement and the benefits that can happen in (SOLITUDE....connection to past CD). Well done wtih the simple instrumentation of just the flute and guitar. The guitar is purposfully exposed and excellently played (nice turns) I can invision you and your guitar buddy playing on the back porch.
The flute sounds very appropriately moody and yet has a hidden joyfyulness that wants to burst out. The emotions deepen with the descending baseline section and the chord changes give a sense of moving to a new place in your mind. Nice vibrato... just enough but not overdone. Love the ending with the last note simply by just by itself, the last "word" resolute.
Excellent writing, wonderful execution.!"
