Who knew?

I was pleased with my work on that first rough recording, but I knew it needed to be better—not the performance as much as the technical side. And it didn’t sound polished like I knew it should. So I did what I do: I dove deep into the unknown world of recording, mixing, and mastering. I dedicated myself to learning as much as possible. I took countless online courses and masterclasses and have earned several certificates already.

Who knew? I would never have believed you if you had told me that songwriting and recording were the easy part.

I am by no means an expert, but my song was taking shape. It was starting to sound like a “real recording”.

But I studied more and practiced the techniques more. I can’t even tell you how many versions of this first song there are. But I finally got it to sound like it did in my head on that first Saturday morning. NO! If I’m being honest, it sounded much better.
